Provident Living
All of Us Should Learn How!

Provident living is an approach, a cultivation of a standard of living that can assist us in managing the temporal and spiritual eventualities in our lives. None of us know what disasters we may face that would make money fail, or make it difficult for us to buy water and food and other emergency supplies. Provident living can help us prepare for these eventualities.

Food Storage
Provident living dictates that you build your food storage without getting into debt. Think of items that you spend money on that can be considered a luxury. Check the food supply building strategy below. It may work for you. A religious organizations we used to attend distributed it. The projected expense then was $5.00 a week. Considering inflation you should probably plan on up to $10.00 a week, depending on where you live. Provident living means if you have any leftover money from any week, roll it over to the week when the assigned product may be more expensive, like the wheat or milk.

Your Food Storage Project at Work
The list above is for two people. Provident living means that you do the math. Tailor the quantities to the number of people in your family. Get your family’s feedback and substitute items you do not like for what you prefer. Provident living means building a food supply your family will eat. Likewise, remember that even if you are planning for yourself alone, it does not hurt to build a year supply of food for two. As usual, it is provident living to label the food you buy with the purchase date. It is provident living to rotate your supply accordingly to ensure quality and to avoid spoilage.
